People Supporting Paws was created in response to the overwhelming need for support in Tulum, Mexico where animal welfare resources are limited and rescuers are stretched thin. In areas like this, where even a simple walk down the street reveals animals in need, those doing the work often don’t have the time or means to fundraise. PSP exists to help fill that gap.
Tulum is where our work began and remains a cornerstone of our mission. At the same time, we recognize that this need exists in many underserved communities, including across the U.S. Our goal is to support people helping animals wherever resources are scarce. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization, so donations go directly to vet care, supplies, and emergency needs—not salaries.
